Learn all about this toe-tapping immersive show and plan The Choir of Man London trip
Pull up a bar stool, order a pint, and prepare for a night of music, stories and friendship. The Choir of Man, which was originally an Edinburgh Festival Fringe hit and is now a West End favourite, takes place in a working pub, The Jungle, and is all about the eccentric but lovable regulars who gather there.
You’ll meet characters such as “The Romantic”, “The Bore”, “The Hardman” and “The Joker” as they share their tales via inventive covers of all-time-great pop songs – everything from Queen, Adele, Paul Simon and Sia to Avicii, Guns & Roses, and Katy Perry – backed by a live band. Ultimately, it’s a celebration of community as the guys support one another, but with added booze and occasional tap-dancing.
There’s plenty of audience interaction too, with people invited on stage to take part in several numbers, plus the performers come into the crowd. No wonder the production has extended its run since it debuted in the West End in 2021, and was nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Entertainment or Comedy Play. Cheers!

The Choir of Man relies on the fantastic chemistry between its ensemble members, as they join forces in telling stories, ribbing each other, and harmonising on the brilliant song covers. They really do seem like mates – albeit with incredible voices and dance moves.
Featuring in the current West End production are: Sam Ebenezer (The Mousetrap), Adam Bayjou (Les Misérables), Luke Conner Hall (Bat Out of Hell), Mark Irwin (The Commitments), Sam Pope (vocal group The Wellermen), Ben Goffe (Hex), Robert Godfrey (The Choir of Man tour), Michele Maria Benvenuto (Mad Forest), and Olugbenga Adelekan (the band Metronomy).
The show was created by Andrew Kay and Nic Doodson, with monologues written by actor and poetry slam champion Ben Norris (Ben Archer in The Archers). This unique show is part musical, part concert and part lock-in, with everyone welcome.

Yes! Make sure you arrive in plenty of time, and you can collect a free beer from the pub onstage before the show starts. There are also moments during the show where the performers give audience members a drink, so watch out for those.
There is no set dress code for The Choir of Man. Like most West End shows, you just need to wear something comfortable – whether that’s casual, like jeans, or a bit smarter. Although for The Choir of Man in particular, it’s fun to get into the chilled-out pub spirit, so maybe bear that in mind.
It’s a tapestry of life experiences as we gradually get to know all of the regulars at this pub, The Jungle, and what’s happening to them. You’ll definitely find lots to relate to as they chat about family, friends, dating, and plenty more. The show also partners with the charity CALM, so there’s some thoughtful handling of mental health issues.
